Redundancy Benefits > Pension/Healthcare Terms. No continuation after termination.
Can someone please advise on this issue please. Myself & colleagues are being made redundant due to off-shoring (we are obviously annoyed about this decision but are looking forward to a fresh start). We have been given an enhanced package with regards to pay.
I have been told that after our termination which ends at the end of month that NO further payments will be made into the pension pot or any other benefit selections.
In my case of service being 6 years = 6 months + 6 weeks notice, I expected the company to make either a one off payment or continue for the 6 months as if I was still in employment. Any advice would be appreciated to clear this matter up.
The other issue is medical benefits I have some on-going health claims and they have said I would need to self pay in order to keep the policies going - appreciate that any new claims would be an issue but surely they have a duty of care with the continuation of existing claims?
During the consultation they said the package was final and that no negotiations could take place as the above was already factored in because we were getting the enhanced package.
Thanks.
