Hi,

I recently applied for a car loan thru ford with Part ex but they refused me and the underwritter said they cannot trace my previous addresses. I am in voters list for 1 year at my current address. is this a probelem with my credit file? My equifax credit file has a list of addrsss i gave and one linked address which is my first address i lived in UK.

Should I fix this witht the credit agencies?

what can i do to let the loan companies trace me online??

any one had simillar issues?

I lived in this country for about 4.5 years and I was a student when i moved in and lived in bristol for 3 years. I kept moving to new address in bristol and never enrolled in voters list although I have credit history.

Now I am living in north wales and I am in electoral roll for 1.5 yrs and in a professional full time employment.

If you are a "foreign" tenant without 3 years traceability on the electoral roll it is unlikely that any mainstream lenders will offer finance.

You cant do anything but make sure you are now on the electoral roll. Also do you have any other credit (credit card for example)?

Yes I do have overdraft and a loan on my current car.

If not mainstream lenders is there any onther lenders who would help me in this case ?

I am planning to buy a house next year will this affect me in getting a mortgage?

    Thanks

Will the lender for the car loan not assist you again?

With the overdraft and car loan, if paid spotless you should be able to get vehicle finance.

The mortgage will depend on several factors but that you will have an additional year on the electoral roll will only assist and not hurt.

Have you got a copy of your credit report?

That's a bit like saying you had the pox! A record of payday loans shouts at any lender "This person cannot manage money!"

What about in the 4 years prior to that? Any missed payments or defaults in that period?
