Payday Nightmare

I started taking out PDL's sometime ago - all seemed to be going well but then I had a couple of bad months at work - I am now at the end of the tether and cannot afford to repay this month. According to my planner I am about £2200 the wrong way and the total debt is approx £5500. I also have 2 bank loans totalling £5000 and credit card of about £1500 and an overdraft maxed at £1700 - I have never owed so much - I have found the only sleep I grt is after a couple of bottles of cheap plonk and dread waking up early. However, tonight I decided to come clean with those nearest and deaest to me and feel a little bit better - still neg'd out with myself - just wanted to say the threads on here have been most helpful and I now have a reasonable idea of what to do next - tomorrowis my d-day and wouldnt be quite as positive had I not read the advice that is proffered here - THANK YOU ALL
Now sending out formal letters - nearly all seem to be playing by the rules - there are a couple that dont want to know but it will be handled by Debt Management Co going forward.
Also just found out I have had PPI on a credit card for the last 12 years - had no idea - so will be putting in a claim - you never know, this could be my silver lining if only in part

Good luck mate. I know exactly how it feels, particularly the bit about needing plonk to sleep.
Trust me that is not the answer.
Being a founding member of the 'muppet about money' club, I completely sympathise. Use these forums to vent, ask for help, or just have some company from others who understand and have been through exactly the same thing.Debt free, moved, got new stuff for the new flat - got everything I wanted and need - now just saving.0
