What are you talking about, My father just had a problem with his dell on the free standard warranty and they picked it up, fixed it free of charge and delivered it back to him in 3 days.

Yes PC world are available in person, but they are only available to tell yo that you should buy a new one, or say they have fixed it but actually just plant a virus on it so you will come back in a few weeks.

And on top of all that a Pentium D is like a x386 compared to a core2duo. Intel have finally made them self a decent CPU after the P4, Itanium catastrophes and the make shift Pentium-D after having to go with AMD's 64-bit architecture

    This really isn't a bargain...

JUst a quick wrod we are not here to advertise just to tell each other of the bargains available. Your case may have been well settled by dell. Also your comment regarding planting of a virus is liabellous. Please refrain from saying things like that !!!!!

Spoken like a true PCWorld employee......is your knowledge on libel laws as accurate as DSG's consumer and sales of goods act laws?. How can you go from post #1 to a libel trial?.

Bottom line is the Dell offers at the moment are wiping the floor with more or less any other PC retailer, you couldn;t even build one as cheap as Dell are selling them at.

Your bargain is a non-bargain. It relates to a specific, single PC unit that was faulty and has been repaired and has been sold to you specifically, is of much lesser spec and a higher price (for second hand) other people are unlikely to get the same offer from their local PC Worlds or will find lesser spec/more expensive products.

I do not want to be dragged into a argument of any sort. It all depens on the way you think etc. Correct me if i am wrong are you a dixon retail group ex employee or a current one as you seem to be catching phrases.

There's no need for any argument. I'm not catching phrases, just reacting to your aggressive defence of PCWorld. An ordinary poster, posting an offer couldn't care less about 'libel', just whether it's a bargain or not.

You posted a non-bargain as no-one else could get it, other posters noted that it was a bad price for such a low spec machine, you then mentioned libel laws against a poster(!) and I felt your defence of PCWorld and dismissal of Dells offers against PCWorld indicated a certain loyalty.

I do not work in retail, period. So rules me out of any shop experience online or otherwise and I only use Sony and Apple laptops, but I certainly wouldn't berate a poster and consider their comments defamatory - unless I had a vested interest.

You've posted elsewhere that you are a C+G engineer and you certainly seem to defend PCWorld in terms of their warranties/services on other posts here.

Of course, you are entitled to your opinion on PCWorld as others have the right also, whether you work for them or not and I'll readily respect that - I took issue with your 'libel' statement, a bit over the top for someone, supposedly, just posting an offer as they saw it on here.
