Does a payment holiday show as default on my credit record

I was wondering if any of you wise and wonderful lot would help me out with a problem....
I leave my present job in two days time as I have been offered another post and am taking it. I get my final pay packet on Thursday. As of yet I don't know when I will get my first one from my new employer. I don't start until 15th May so its possible that I may not get paid until the end of June
The problem with that is ....I am in debt (see previous posts if interested) and am doing my best to clear it. I have never missed a payment on any of my debts, which include 3 credit cards and 3 catalogue companies. I have saved up a small amount of money and I have my final pay packet which should enable me to meet all of Mays payments. If I don't get paid until the end of June ( and I'm assuming the worst and anything better is a bonus ) I'm stuck for next months payments.
I was thinking of asking my creditors if I can take a payment holiday for one month to get me through this transition period. What I would like to know is......
If they agree, do I have to pay twice as much next month ( as that's not going to really help me )
If they agree, does it show on my credit rating/ record as a default.
I don't have any defaults and I'm rather proud of that ( although I'm not proud of being in debt.....*looks shamefaced * ) and I would like to keep it that way.
Any thoughts on this ?

Why dont you find out when you will get paid before you do anything?
Why is there a 2 week break?Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -
I have two days left of my months notice. Next weekend it is the bank holiday weekend and as I'm going away at the end of that week for a few days, it didnt seem a good idea to start on the Tuesday and then disappear on the Thursday and not appear again until the following Tuesday. So on that basis ( if your still following ) I am starting midweek on the Wednesday ( 15th ).
I haven't been out of work for 27 years and have always left one job and gone straight into the next, I would have preferred for this one to have worked out a bit better for me time wise , but heyho ...such is life.
I probably will wait until I find out when I get paid but I don't like leaving things till the last minute and like to have a plan to fall back on if needed.0 -

Ok so basically you are going to be 1/2 a months money short over the next six weeks? Is that right.
Are you on a DMP?
