Looks interesting - seems you need to find a friend who has an Annual Season Ticket who is willing name you as a nominated person for the partner card, according to the website.0

No never heard of them being discounted they're only 28 pound and it's worth it on the money you save and it's for a whole year.Could save up your 2 pound coins to get one.I usually use money I get for my birthday/christmas to get it.0

im surprised season ticket owners are not using their benefits to sell them for more on ebay, i would be happy to pay more0

Reselling train tickets is prohibited, as would be (I think) selling a railcard. In any case railcards have a name printed on the front.
I think that a Gold Card holder could legitimately offer a partner card to someone, and then buy it with their name and details, but most probably prefer to offer it to a friend or can't be bothered touting it for a measly sum.0 -
You could get one of those 16-25 railcards... I have gotten it for the past few years without the staff at the train station asking for any ID or proof of birth etc.
Guess its a gamble but hey... fair bit of savings on each trip.0
