I mix foundation with a light moisturiser and use that.

Yep, mix regular foundation with highlighter or whatever you need

I used to mix moisturiser with foundation as it sheers out the coverage of your foundation. In summer you don't want a heavy foundation so moisturiser makes it a lot lighter to wear. You need to pick foundations and moisturisers that are compatible though as some moisturisers make some foundations 'split' and go weird and patchy- it's trial and error though.

I now use a korean BB cream that I bought from ebay after recommendations from this forum- it's holika holika petit BB cream if you're interested. It's got a really high spf (30) and has a lovely coverage- not heavy but enough to damp down the redness in my skin.

Thanks for this. Do you use BB cream instead of foundation now? I've always thought before that if you're going to mix foundation and moisturiser you might as well just get a tinted moisturiser in tthe first place.

I used YSL Teint Touche Éclat last Summer, medium coverage but still light weight. I normally use Bourjois 123 Perfect but find it a bit much in Summer.
