Westminster Kensington 1500 Pocket And Latex Mattress

In my quest to get a superking latex pocket spring mattress, I have short-listed this product:

As I am about to part with £500, I thought I'd post here to try and elicit feedback on my precious purchase from fellow moneysavers.

Thanks in advance for any opinions.

It doesn;t say what thickness the Latex is?

Personally I wouldn't buy such an personal tasting type product without trying it first. It says medium feel, but then firm in the description. If you're not too worried about the feel the it's not a bad price for a superking 1500 pocket spring mattress.

I'd be ok with both firm and medium tbh.

Another one is the LA Romantica Vienna at £789:

2 inches each side - but substantially more expensive, and only one year guarantee...

    Any other suggestion?

Just realised the guarantee is one year for the Westminster Kensington 1500 Pocket And Latex Mattress (<http://goo.gl/hgLTE>).

I think this is going towards having to spend substantially more to get a decent confidence of NOT wasting the money...
    £800 for the "Origins Pocket Latex 1500 - Superking" - <http://goo.gl/pFBgs>?

    Cheaper alternatives?

Of them all the last one, at £800 clearly looks the best.

I've also heard many good things about that company too.

    Is latex a must?

For what I've understood, it's the best combo for my requirements.

Just a follow up on this to confirm I got this:
    £800 for the "Origins Pocket Latex 1500 - Superking" - <http://goo.gl/pFBgs>

And so far so good, it is really comfortable and has the right temperature (can't stand memory foam anymore).

Can anybody advice on a good mattress cover. £800 to protect.
Waterproof would be better as I have a small kid sleeping over it sometimes.

    Thanks

When we recently bought a mattress we were looking at guarantees and found that most of them don't cover the full cost of the mattress after the first year. The value of the guarantee decreased with each year.

    That's normally called a Warranty.

Guarantees normally cover everything and to full value, but I guess it's all down to the small print.
