Don't think so, description seems to match this rather than the Paperwhite which is the backlit one I believe.

Well my Sony decided it doesn't want to switch on, so have gone for this, would have preferred the paperwhite but at this price it will have to do.

Don't forget the Nook Simple Touch is only £29 at the moment - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4575937 gives details - the £29 price is at all outlets for a promotional period

A decent e-reader, and can even (if rooted) be made to act as a Kindle reader too. Or can read converted files from Kindle.

Just seen that on the Register, shame as I have just ordered the Kindle, mind you the nook has a strange wider screen that just doesn't look right.

Cancelled my kindle and ordered a Nook instead, it will display all my epubs with out having to convert them, and it is £20+ cheaper.
Shame as I was going to get a kindle paperwhite in a few months, but £29 is £29!

Does anyone know if you get a 1 year guarantee with the refurbished Kindle? If anything goes wrong with it will Amazon stand over it even though it was brought through Argos?

    Thanks
    Val :)

You get a full years warranty but through Argos.
