hi
I have a friend who i would like to get a live with but with me being a woman an him being...well HIM ^^ would we be classed as a couple? we are strictly friends an the thought of sharing a room, let alone a bed seems inappropriate to me as we both have partners so we would need a 2 bedroom but would we still be subject to the bedroom tax? we both have partners but nether of us feel that we are ready to live with them an are partners are to comfortable with their parents to move out right now.
i have looked on the council website but it doesn't say anything about opposite sex's living together as anything other than a couple. has anyone else been in this situation or know anything about it? we live in are own flats at the moment but would prefer to find a house together.
thanks

males and females can be flatmates! you wouldnt be classed as a couple, although they may ask questions or want proof
anyway there is no bedroom tax as such, its a reduction in benefits0
