I've been contacted by Azacade, they want to collect pension info from me for Cherish Wealth Management who will do a pension report for free? Is there a catch?. Value your opinion? Thank you xx

Quality IFA's will not cold call, ever.
There's a chance you are being contacted by a firm who are not as innocent as they may seem.
To certain of receiving decent advice from someone who is qualified and regulated, you can find a local IFA at https://www.unbiased.co.uk
Some may offer pension reviews for free (in the hope that there is justification to transfer the pension, at which time they will receive a fee), but you likely will be charged at the outset.0 -
They have been the subject of another thread here:

Steer clear would be my advice.I am an IFA. Any comments made on this forum are provided for information only and should not be construed as advice. Should you need advice on a specific area then please consult a local IFA.0 -
Thanks so much for the link to previous posts and thanks for all the help....I will of course leave well alone! Xxx0

I assume "Azacade" refers to Avacade Investments. I'll mention it so anyone searching will unearth this thread.
Their website contains copy such as
"... Avacade Investments focus on alternative investments, steering away from traditional underperforming assets such as equities and identifying opportunities of the future..."
and other gems."Things are never so bad they can't be made worse" - Humphrey Bogart0 -
ok so what can you do if you been taken and they have your money? can you get it back?? if so how?0

Try ActionFraud if you suspect you have been conned. I would have thought that your chances of recovering your money are pretty low as it has probably disappeared off somewhere out of reach of the UK authorities. There are various self-help groups of investors for individual frauds but I havent heard of any one being successful.0
