Open a new account with an unrelated bank and then arrange to repay your overdraft at an affordable rate. Transfer all your direct debits and wages over to the new account. Otherwise you might have this problem next month or the month after.0 -
Does this mean that they have put some of the overdraft back onto your account? Or have they just given your wages back, but still taken away the authorised overdraft?
Lloyds are sly, they were with me for both my overdraft and credit card. Was greatful to become debt free from them.
Glad you got your money back.0 -

I'm afraid they can - it's a reason why it is not recommended to be using a current account if you have a credit card in arrears with the same bank. How much of the overdraft were you using?
I dont know if I was reading it different to you but it doesnt sound like a set off to me just a cancellation of an overdraft. I've suffered set off in the past (by about £200 from Band of Scotland who lie and call themselves Blair Oliver and Scott).
Its the same with the stories you had ages ago with Egg credit card cancelling peoples cards.0
