I have just discovered this amazing product and have to share!
http://www.laroche-posay.com/products-treatments/Cicaplast/CICAPLAST-BAUME-B5-p5636.aspx
It was recommended to me by a local pharmacy when I went in about my little girl's eczema. Previously we've used Epaderm and other emollients, often bandaged onto her skin overnight but without success.
Two applications of this cream and it was almost gone! I'm amazed. I used it on a patch I had and it went within a few hours. Seriously, it's incredible.
I Googled and the blogosphere has gone mad for it, with good reason IMO.
It is £13 a tube which is not cheap, but it's so effective it is good value. I am using it on some dry skin patches (not eczema) and it works like nothing else I have ever tried.
It has 5 per cent panthenol so maybe that's what works? I am not a scientist so I don't know, but I would recommend it, especially as it has no scent and can be used on babies.

Thanks for this, Boots seem to have an offer on some La Roche-Posay items ATM, I was considering getting their sun cream to try, so will put an order in for both while the discount is available. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Lush Dream Cream gets amazing reviews on the website. Mainly from people with eczema and other skin issues. Apparently it's better than the chemical stuff and works really well on children.
I bought some when I had dry patches and it was great. £10 a biggish tub, good stuff.
