sorry i've been MIA, life has been slightly mental over the past few months. i moved house (under threat of divorce if i didn't) then OH proceeded to ignore me for 2 months and spend all his time in the spare room on his playstation with our housemate drinking and spending all his money on booze and takeway then having the cheek to ask me for train fare to work on monday mornings and thinking my overdraft was his own personal payday loan company to bail him out. apparently, all of this was my fault so i'm now back with my parents and well shot of him!
i also got offered a training contract starting in september with the law firm i work for which i'm over the moon about! :j
I'm sorry you've had such a tough time with the ex-OH but :j:j:j:j:j:beer::beer::beer::T:T over the TC. I qualified in October just gone and I know how tough it can be so congratulations :T:T0 -
thank you for all the hugs and kind words everyone! xx0

Hugs to you, evilsquid, and well done on doing the right thing for yourself, also congratulations on your career developments.
It's been quiet on the toiletries UU front. I just UU'ed a sachet of something I could probably never afford, Dior's Capture Totale Multi Perfection Creme. Thankfully I wouldn't buy it, even though my skin was clean and exfoliated it still went slightly 'bitty'. Not bitty enough to wash off, though.
I have sinned, slightly but in my defence I have nothing similar in the stash. An Aldi Lacura Sun Cream that can be used on face and body, SPF 30. This was a special from a while back - I discovered it tucked away on one of the tables with a myriad of former specials.
Also the Aldi Lacura BB Cream - light shade - that is on special. If I develop any sort of tan it will be a bit too light, but at the moment it's the right shade and hides a couple of little imperfections very well. A nice alternative to foundation, which I don't wear.
Trudi, well done on all your FB weekend adventures, I want one when it's published, and may dog-breath be banned for some time!
I steered clear of a cortisone injection for my heel - plantar fasciitis - and was glad I did, as I very slowly recovered by myself, but it was slow. I really hope yours works, Rosemary.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
evilsquid sorry to hear you've been having a tough time lately - sounds like you're well rid and onwards and upwards!
I have some UUs:
FCUK shower cream 300ml - from the gift set I mentioned previously, WBA if they sell it separately, liked the smell and it lingers
S&G Scrub Your Nose In It 125ml - LHJ, WMBA but no face scrub needed for several years due to my Sanctuary stash from the GWP glitch a couple of years ago - can't wait to make inroads on these!
I have a few more likely UUs before the end of the month, then I think they will be slow going after that as I'm onto lots of large full sizesMFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -

i went a bit mad with my cheer up treats:o
Illamasqua complement palette - got for 50% off after seeing a flash sale code on twitter:T
Illamasqua hydra veil
Illamasqua blush up brush
Nuxe cleanser, toner and lip balm with a free bag with a mini moisturiser, toner, sachet of oil and mask in. bought for the grand sum of £3.49 as i doubled up tesco vouchers on beauty expert. turns out that OH's booze runs in Tesco meant I've apparently spent £1320 in there this quarter. considering my food budget was well under £100 a month due to it being one of the things to decrease the more i bailed him out and i went to asda as well for some of it, that a lot of alcohol!
also had a few UUs. most of my stash is full size now so gettiung through it is slowing down a bit:-
Liz earle energising shower gel - WNBA im going off the fragrance of this a bit.
urban decay primer potion - WBA this was in the old style bottle though so im glad they changed it, it so hard to get the last bits out of or know if there is anything left!
Clinique superbalm mini - TA, this started to smell funny1 this is the second superbalm ive had thats gone this way.
Nails Inc instyle nail polish - TA looked and this had separated in the bootle and gone all funny.
butter london nail polish - TA the cap had broken and it had leaked a bit and dried up
nails inc St James and hampstead heath - lost in the move, no idea where they are!
bioderma - HG i love this for taking make up off and when you need a quick cleanse, not very good on on waterproof make up though!
chloe love perfume - WBA, nice perfume! another in the stash
seeing as though i missed the talk about where my stash is, my toiletries stash is in some small plastic drawers in my bedroom and my make up is in a bobbi brown case. got some brill storage from ikea to organise my make up drawer - Godmorgen drawer organiser
Was only wondering the other day where you'd got to, so sorry to hear you've been having such a rotten time but I'm glad you seem to have come through the other side to a certain extent. What gets into men sometimes I really have no idea!! You definitely deserve the treats. Welcome back0 -
Hello all, sorry I've been AWOL, a bit distracted and a bit busy of late! An update.....
Put on eBay
Elemis Absolute Eye Serum 15ml - I used this back when it was in a green pipette bottle and I loved it, but this hasn't got the nice botanical smell anymore and it made the skin around my eyes tighter, which is fine if you want anti-ageing but I want soothing, my eyes get very dry so this didn't do it for me
TA
Nivea SOS Intensive Hand Balm 50ml - Urgh horrid stuff, like a film of something on your hands! Sending it back to them for a refund
No 7 Beautiful skin face wash 150ml - An accidental TA, the screw bit must have come loose and it fell over in my rack above the bath and drained down the plughole, NOT happy as it's a favourite of mine!
Piz Buin SPF30 aerosol mist 150ml - No idea how old this is, it's pre-Helioplex and in the old packaging, from googling I know Boots changed it over in 2010 so it's easily 3 years old. I don't know if aerosol sunscreens go out of date but I'm not risking one that's this old! Have two of the newer ones from 2011 so will continue using those, HG product of mine, LOVE this stuff!
UU
Boots Coconut body oil 100ml - Very good as a deep conditioner on your hair, and very cheap so WDBA!
Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 30ml - WDBA HG product!
Kleenex Facial Cleansing Wipes x 24 - WMBA, did the job!
No 7 Quick thinking wipes x 30 - WDBA, always a cheap way to use up the £5 vouchers!
Pears Liquid soap 237ml - WBA - Very nice, smells gorgeous and great as a shower gel
The Body Shop Elderflower eye gel 15ml - WDBA, becoming an HG product!
....and............I am now down to under £300 in my unopened items!!!! Yeay!!! :j:j:jmoneyless_mac wrote: »Have felt thoroughly miserable this month - work is unbearable and more work is piled on daily and im feeling stressed. This is reflected in my uncontrollable buying.
I used to do that such a lot, it was when I was in counselling that I finally got over it, I'd been trying to 'buy happiness' for so long and I couldn't work out why I never felt any better (((hugs))) hun xx

A sort of UU/sort of TA - Sanex invisible roll on deodourant. This has festered in my gym bag for ages, and has gone really thick, so decided that I would just throw away the last weeks worth that's left in the bottle. I'll say I won't buy it again, but I'll probably forget and find myself picking up a bottle later.0

I have three UUs
Nivea in shower body moisturiser 10ml
L'Occitane divine cream 1ml
Olay gentle cleanser 130ml
The in shower body conditioner was interesting, I have noticed the difference on my skin but it did make the shower very sloppy. I have enough balance issues not to need these extra problems.
The olay cleanser I am glad to see the back of. It is hateful stuff IMHO, dries my skin out, I hate wash off cleansers, rant hatred etc.:cool:0 -
