Oooh are the Andrew Collinge therapy conditioners back in Poundland? Thanks Luckystar. I got three last time but gave one away (the volume one). My colour therapy AC one is going down rapidly.

    Hi All,

I had a treat last week ala Superscrimpers - I had a manicure at my local college and I learnt something I didn't know... I asked the young girl how long the nail varnish would last she said that if I applied an extra layer of top coat every couple of days that it would last up to a week. I always apply a top coat when doing my nails - but it always chipped after a day or two. But this week I've applied the extra top coat and it's lasted all week. I thought I'd share this with you as I've mentioned it to a couple of my friends they didn't know about it either - so thought there maybe more of u out there. (On the plus side it means that I'm using up my clear nail varnish quicker) :T

  • Have felt thoroughly miserable this month - work is unbearable and more work is piled on daily and im feeling stressed. This is reflected in my uncontrollable buying.
No excuse just a reason for the ins im about to declare. Its a pattern im aware of just finding it hard to break.

    So the ins:
    Glossybox
    Birchbox
LIB CEW box & clean & fresh box
6 sure deo - DH HG restocked whilst on special offer
4 Garnier 3 in 1 make up remover HG restocked whilst on special offer
14 ins from 2 x QVC Elemis TSV - wedding anniversary gift from DH. He is quite unadventurous when gift buying and as he has seen some Elemis recently in the bathroom he purchased these. He did the same with TBS goods and is part of the reason for the body butter mountain.

In reality although shocking this could have been so much worse if id actually checked out all the online baskets I had filled.

    Outs:
    pack of razors
Cotton wool pads - have already restocked earlier this month.
Sure Max protection deo - HG still have some in stash.
Glittering shower gel - blackberry - WNBA part of a christmas gift set and rubbish.
TBS satsuma body butter - WBA but have more in the stash.
Mac blushbaby blusher - a rare make up UU - WBA natural shade for my pale skin.
    No more buying toiletries

I'm really pleased to see someone's won with Glamour, I've doggedly entered nearly every day, apart from when I couldn't think of who to give the prize to.
On the subject of free things, Amazon Vine have offered me a Sure Max women's deo cream to review. RRP of these is about a tenner so that's quite nice. Missed out on a nice Remington paddle brush, but hey-ho.

UUs Olay Anti Wrinkle Firm and Lift Day Cream. WIBA? Yes, got this on Amazon for a decent price. I've got other creams and serums to UU but I like this one. SPF is 15, bit light for the summer but a good product for all other seasons.

Second UU Bio2You Organic Eye Contour Seabuckthorn Eye Cream.
WIBA? It's pricey, but if I had the cash, yes. It's one I got free from Vine last year.
It's good if you have hot, puffy eyes as it has a lovely cooling action. I'm not sure how effective it is at reducing wrinkles, but mine got no worse over the near-year of use.
It's very, very economical to use as well, just a dab of emulsion does both eyes.
No ins but A!di have a BB Cream on special this week, and you know me and A!di...

Thanks for this And, I didn't realise the Glamour giveaway was on, won quite a few bits and pieces last time so I'll be entering that for the few days of the month that are left

I hope things settle down for you at work soon. Enjoy your new things even if you feel a bit fed up for having bought them, you have them now so may as well enjoy. The buying when your down in the dumps habit is a hard one to break and you need something else to fill that gap before you can do it, something that doesn't cost too much and doesn't involve too much chocolate or alcohol :D

And - if you decide to go for the Aldi BB cream will you do a little review for us? I recently started using the Witch BB cream and really like it, it is very light in texture and colour so may not suit darker skin tones, I use it on my cheekbones and temples as they get very congested and then I dab some of my normal foundation on over it. I am using it more to help my skin than for coverage.

Oh btw the Witch concealer stick is lovely too, great colour and it covers well but not cakey.

It's the bank holiday weekend... yayyy!

    Some UU:
    1. Steamcream 75mg - WMBA - I liked the smell, wasn't sure about it on my face and think it's a bit expensive for a handcream so I'm not sure if I'll repurchase immediately but it was nice enough
    2. Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make Up Remover 250ml - WBA - lasted AGES, and good at removing make up.
    3. Bioderma Crealine Dermatological Wipes 25 - WMBA - from France so not readily available here, did the job but not HG
