Double Airmiles for redeeming Clubcard vouchers

Have received an Airmile mailing today saying if you are doing it for the first time, you will get double Airmiles when exchanging them with Tesco clubcard vouchers between 1st May and 30th June.

Can anyone with a mathmatical (or just functioning!) brain tell me if this works out better now than a straight swap for Virgin vouchers?

Thanks
Sarah

Is this for just normal airmiles or BA airmiles?
  • As a guide I think 100 airmiles is worth about £6 off the price of your holiday. This is what they told me last year when used them to get more money off my holiday when they could only price match!

I may be wrong, but I've stopped collecting airmiles, they just don't seem good value now.

But hey, that's just my opinion.

I got a mailing this week from Airmiles saying that if I was still converting my Tesco points in November I would get 200 miles FREE

    Hi!
I'm in the process of getting airmiles for the first time with clubcard vouchers- is there a code to quote on the mailing you have or is it specifically targetted to you?
    Thanks for your help! :D

If anyone wants to collect BA Miles instead, but doesn't have a BA Executive Club card (as you 'need' to take a qualifying flight first to get one), PM me...

    Hello,
I took a look at the Tesco site yesterday and after phoning AirMiles for a holiday quote, it worked out that the money I would save by converting my clubcard vouchers over means that the vouchers are valued at less than 2x their face value so it's not worth doing for £2.50 of vouchers = 60 miles.
The OP mentioned a special offer where if you're converting for the first time before the end of June you get double miles, this would mean they're actually being valued at over 3x face value- I can live with that! Hope that makes sense!
Anyway, if the OP is still around or if anyone knows about the double miles deal please let me know!

    Has anyone tried this deal?
I'm verging on trying this but wondered if anyone had had any success?
How long do they take to convert?

    Thanks
