I have sparse and short eyelashes. I need a mascara which will lengthen and thicken my lashes without clogging them up.
Any advice please?

my cousin is a beatician and she was talking about this the other day... bizarly its called eyelash perming and it makes your eyelashes stand out much more like curling them? Might help?Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*

Hmm this is new to me. Sounds interesting, I'll have to check it out. Do you know how long it lasts?0

I like Rimmel Extra Super Lash, under a fiver and it comes in a waterproof version too. My eyes are quite sensitive and I've used it for ages without any untoward effects. My daughter likes the Maybelline one (Great Lash I think it's called - bright pink and green container) but I don't find it as good.:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

Not long as far as I know, she tried it out on a few of my other cousins recently and it wasnt uncomfortable although I know it only lasts a week or so. If you look in your yellow pages for a mobile technician they are usually cheaper apparently than the salons.Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*

On the subject of perming, I've read about lash extensions. Anyone any experience of this and cost?
Still looking for a recommended mascara in the meantime. Was thinking about maybe trying Rimmel Magnifyeyes.0 -

Are yours or your daughter's lashes sparse and short?
I do know of the Maybelline one, been on the market for ages, but never tried it.0 -
i have the same problem.
i find that max factor volumising mascaras, avon's superfull and bourjois volume glamour all work really well.
i've tried the maybelline one, but it's no good for sparse, short lashes. it just made mine look even sparser.
the best i ever used was Dior's Maximeyes. but i can't afford that one these days!0 -

Funny you should mention this as I just saw my mums new extensions today! She has very short eyelashes and these are great on here eyes :T Very realistic. Do not look false in any way and each are applied individually. I think they cost her about £50 and last approx 6 months. I think they are well worth the money as the difference they make to her eyes was really noticable. She said that she had 16 individual ones added at each side, mainly from the middle out so they were graduated. The world is full of Pink Fluffy Clouds......you just need to open your eyes to see them:)

i have had eyelash perming and tinting which is great i actually can see lashes on my eyes (usually it looks like i have none)...it lasts approx 3mnths and costs around £25-30 for the 2..
i have them tinted as well to make them stand out even more.. it takes about 45mins to do and i would thoroughly recommend it to anyone
the extensions sound interesting as well not seen that before

If you are still looking for a mascara, I love Maxfactor Masterpiece Mascara. I find the Masrerpiece Max to clog up my lashes more but the original is brilliant. The brush really combs your lashes and prevents clogging whilst building up length/volume.0
