And at the end of the interview he answers the question "what is the hardest question you've had" with "can you justify the cost of a 1st class stamp as 60p". UNBELIEVABLE
Complete car crash, completely clueless and pretty much sounds like he doesnt have any policies. Really scary that people want him to be Prime Minister. Seems like he wants to lose the next election.

I take it you don't like Ed M that much then?
Mind you, now that you mention it, that isn't exactly the most impressive performance from a would-be PM I've come across. But look on the bright side, the public have (in the past) tolerated some utter plonkers at No 10, so I reckon he's still in with a chance.0 -
He is a muppet. But to be fair Cameron, Clegg and in particular Osborne are just as hapless. The problem is endemic as politics is something you go into if you're a bit of a tool, as evidenced by the hilariously dysfunctional membership of university political societies and local party associations.0

Milliband is the new Micheal Foot. Out of touch as unable to keep up with a fast moving world.0 -
I recall Blair answering narrow questions of that kind in the same way. The Blair approach was not to play the media game and answer the questions in his own way. Now he criticises Milliband for doing the same thing.
Whether Milliband convinces people is not the same as whether he answers his opponent's questions (or the media's questions for that matter). Its very easy to ask difficult questions on a narrowly defined baseline. When Miliiband asks why the Tory cuts are not reducing the need for borrowing he has a point and nobody wants to answer that either.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

The difference between Messers Blair and Milliband is that Mr Blair used to make it clear that policies were to be forthcoming but were still to be formulated. As a result he was forced to talk solely about how dreadful the Tories were and TBH that wasn't an unreasonable position to take.
The Milliband position is rather different. He has accepted that the current fiscal position is untenable. Logically that means that if you are going to tax less you need to spend less or increase the deficit in the short term, his longe term belief being that his targeted fiscal policy will boost the economy so much that borrowing falls later on.
However, his refusal to discuss the obvious consequences of his own policies makes him look lightweight and evasive. If he keeps up like this he might even manage to lose the election which would be a good effort. Up there with Neil 'We're Alright!' Kinnock.0 -

Milliband is avoiding the issues. Not only that but there appears to be a three line party whip. So all Labour MP's read off the same dumb PR scrip. Treating people (the electorate) as idiots is wearing thinner and thinner.0 -

The 'issue' is that we have been brought down by the banks, and the politicians lack the balls to deal with it.
The banks continue to call the shots, and feel no responsibility at all towards the people whose lives they control.

You really have been listening to the left too much. We were not brought down by the bankers. We were brought down by an incompetent Labour government0 -

So the bankers have no responsibility whatsoever for the taking us over the cliff? Keep taking the medicine."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....
