Tesco BA airmiles

hi, have been considering collecting BA miles with my club points and have read and think i understand that £2.50 is 600 airmiles so Austrailia is 22,000 miles return so would i spend £92 in club card vouchers to receive 22,000 airmiles. ?

I think you are confusing actual distance in miles to a destination with how many BA miles you need to redeem a reward ticket.

Last time I looked an economy ticket to Australia will take 100,000 miles.

So over £400 in vouchers PLUS c£150 in taxes.

BA air miles are awarded at the rate of 600 per £2.50 Tesco vouchers, an economy flight to Oz is currently 100,000 BA miles.

However in order to collect BA air miles you will need to already be a member of the BA Executive Club, and this is only achievable by previously taking “qualifying” flights with BA, i.e a Club Europe or Club World tickets at full price, or by corporate membership.

Therefore unless you already fly BA on business you are probably better off collecting standard air miles, but a trip to Oz would be a lot of spend at tesco even with standard air miles!!
 It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them

I use my tesco vouchers for airmiles. We wanted to go to Australia in Nov/Dec when it is usually 5000 airmiles per person each way. Earlier on in the year there was a promotion from Airmiles - BOGOF. So I booked it for November and it cost me 10,000 airmiles and £323.00 for two people. I thought it was a bargain.
