Hi there, you could try having a look on eBay, as I have found an alfred angelo one brand new from several sellers in china, brand new, for between £40 to £60...

Also found the same dress on dressilyme.com for £110. They have absolutely loads of dresses. There are 76 pages of dresses and I had it set to show 24 per page so that's over 1800. well worth a shot in my opinion ;)

    I hope this helps...

Just thought I should point out that I have no idea how much the dress I have seen would cost in a normal bridal shop as I have not looked yet.

Going on my first shopping trip in 2 weeks. Eeeek!

Have been trawling back through a few pages in the section and a few others have mentioned:

    Millybridal.com
    Lightinthebox

    Again, hope this helps :)

Please be careful if you're buying a dress from a Chinese shop as sometimes things that look too good to be true are!

I've heard some real horror stories about shoddy work on dresses, bad quality dresses, horrible fabrics and sometimes no dress at all! On the other hand I think some people have had no problems at all.

I bought two dresses from China, one from lightinthebox, one directly from a ebay seller. I am delighted with both (despite high expectations!).

The one from the ebay seller needs some alterations. It is much too long (but I think they make it so to be sure that they are not returned in case of being too short through error of the customer!) and I will need to replace the bow that goes from front to back, but the dress itself is beautiful and it fits me perfectly.

The other dress from LITB is perfect (it's a more simple dress that I will wear for the reception, much easier for dancing!).

Both cost me a bit over £100 (the LITB one was cheaper but I paid for it to be made to my measurements). I paid no export tax for either of them.

I took a gamble and frankly expected to have to put them in the bin, so to have not just one but both as I'd hope has been a fantastic surprise.

You can book it online through ebay and may be America Eagle also.

It's great to hear quality work from China, with all the negative reviews online. It can be a potential source of profit, especially with their very affordable pricing and the consistent demand for wedding dresses. :)

Replica is a fancy word for fake. Think Replica Nike or Replica Rolex. You wouldn't be buying a real one you'd be buying a fake. Same with wedding dresses. The design belongs to the designer. If you wish to buy a dress from china that is your choice but please don't kid yourself that it is a replica.

Websites use this word to make you feel more comfortable about buying fakes that contravene copyright laws. Bridal designers sue these companies. With laws being slightly different in china, Chinese manufacturers think they can kid us, but designers are getting Chinese lawyers now.

The music industry talks a lot about lost revenue for artists from pirate CDs and videos. The same issues apply to wedding dress designers.

If you would buy a fake sports item or watch. Are happy to accept a lower spec or shoddy manufacture. Go ahead. But don't kid yourself that you are getting the real thing.
