On the back of a recent feedback on Amazon I thought I'd start a thread to share weird and wonderful feedback we get.
I'm used to getting "smaller than expected" on items with the exact measurements in title and description. Also things like "This colour didn't match my cat" for other items.
A new one today was "Not as many as expected", this was for a pack of 25 items, it contained 25 items. The feedback was all positive and 5s for everything, so no idea what was expected and I'm not going to ask.

When I've got a bit more time I'll have a trawl through my feedback to see if there's anything really odd, but offhand I can think of two feedbacks that annoyed me.
Firstly the person who reported an item she thought she hadn't received via feedback. (I had sent two things in the same parcel and she hadn't noticed.)
The other one was a top that I had sold, and the buyer said it smelt like it had been in storage for a while. !!!!!!, I'd freshly washed it before putting it up for sale!Early retired - 18th December 2014

I had a buyer purchase two items that finished within minutes of each other, pay in full within minutes of the second auction finishing, including full postage costs, and then leave 'postage was a bit pricy', directly above another buyer who emailed to ask if they bought two items could they have a combined postage cost, and thanked me for reducing it accordingly!
If you don't ask for a combined price and pay each one separately, don't complain that you paid it!Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Neutral: It arrived really quickly but it wasn't what I expected. I still really like it.
No idea what they were expecting as the size was listed several times and a description of the item was given.0 -

Just reminded me, when I used to have an auction room I was asked to send a catalogue to someone in prison. Oddly enough he never attended the auction!4771_Miles_To_Caracas wrote: »I once had "Great seller I would deal again if I wasnt on death row".0 -
I think I've had every combination of bigger, smaller, lighter, darker than expected. Probably on my first one of those, someone put "lot smaller than expected" on a toy animal, which had the exact measurements in cm and inches, I replied "did you expect it to grow in the post?".0

Lol, you're brave, if that was me they'd give me 1* for communication. I had a neutral with the comment "The jacket was fine but the size was definitley not fit a size 14". I stated in the listing that the size was only an estimate, and gave 6 exact measurements. I can't help it if the buyer thinks she's smaller than she actually is.0 -
A long time ago i had 2 memorable positive feedbacks:
'transaction was as smooth as owl poop' and 'I think that this arrived' to which we replied 'did you try opening the envelope?'0 -
I had one last week about some Knickers-
"Top sexy Knickers. Smashed my lass backdoors in twice'0 -
I just remembered one I had from about 8 years ago. I sold a small pin dish and mentioned that this was an unusually small size from this factory as it measured only 3 inches across. The title was also something like 3 inch Wedgwood pin dish green jasper ware.
I got a neutral stating 'much smaller than I thought it would be' and I responded with 'how big did you want your 3 inch dish then?'I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
