I JUST WANT RID
I signed upto a joint 50/50 fixed payments mortgage in 2006, did not go well and Jan 2007 I moved out. Three months on my ex-partner was sent to prison, during this time I was refused access to the property and being young & naive did not put up a fight. He then returned... but does not pay the mortgage.
I have not lived in the property since 2007 and instead rent private properties. My ex partner who lives there is unemployed and has been failing to make the monthly payments, they set up some arrangement with him for 3 months but I think this has ended and again he has failed to make any payment. I keep trying to speak with the mortgage advisor's but going round in circles (I know I am liable but can't afford to pay for his home), Solicitors can't help as there is no equity and I can't afford the charges due to low pay. I just want rid, don't want a penny but no one can help me remove my name/ sell the house, I can't even enter the house due to him changing the locks. 6 years on and if anything its getting worse!! Please help

Do you feel that you will ever be able to get your mortgage on your own?
Is having credit cards. overdrafts or loans important for you?
If the answer for above is no then go bankrupt and that ex-prisoner will get his house repossessed and kicked out by the bank0 -
Hi

I do! Been with my current partner for 4 yrs & we want to settle down and start a family in our own home. He is in a well paid position and anything I do is going to impact us both.
I've gave my ex every option, him moving out, selling, name change, everything to avoid another 5 yrs bad credit. But he is happy running up a debt!0
