Switchboard question

Hi

Going back to work full time now that the family's all grown up. I'm thinking of applying for a full time office job where I'll be using a switchboard, audio typing, and doing book keeping. I've used a switchboard many years ago, so long now that its probably all changed. I've been working in different sorts of jobs part time since my last office job, mainly shop work and in a cafe.

So should I be right to worry that I might not be up to operating the fancy new switchboards they use nowdays. Any refreshers would be welcome.

Comments

  • If you were trained on a corded board or even a cordless PMBX then operating a modern switchboard will be easy-peasy.

Perhaps a local college have some refresher courses you could use to update your skills and boost your confidence?
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.
