Hi In projecting to exceed the LTA I am considering using VCT's as a means of quickly building a fund that I can draw on in 5 years time when I would like to retire (age 50). Interesting but risky is a good description for those in your situation. Maxing out the LTA and ISA allowances at least means that there's a fair chance that they won't end up as a disproportionately high part of your overall investment mixture.
