So YOU are in receipt of free prescriptions and what about those child benefits you can't claim, don't your children ever need prescriptions
As for greedy and uncaring - where did that come from? Are you feeling OK?
So benefits are all right so long as you, the rich, get them as well as the poorer members of society
She's 65, and in perfect mental health.
Like I said, that goes with age, she's 65.
Both leading QCs are over 60. Both use the freedom pass extensively. I know quite enough about it, thanks all the same.
But you don't know much about what you are pontificating about
How to claim winter fiuel allowance
How to claim free prescriptions
And if your QCs used their cars then it would increase congestion and CO2. They're doing the right thing by you and your young children and all you can do is complain. The only thing that is constant is change.0 -
Keep taking the tablets, Z, you sound well odd....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

You have to apply for a free prescription every time by completing the prescription form, this is also available to pregnant mothers young children' those on JSA and those with certain conditions so it's not just on age.
So both the leading QCs were over 60. Learn from this, it takes time to acquire ALL the relevant facts, until you have done this I suggest you stop posting about things you know little about
Patronising nonsense as well as being factually incorrect.
Winter Fuel Allowance is paid to anyone automatically if you get the State Pension - it does not need to be applied for.

While zygurat789's language and tone was unnecessary - it is the case that all of these age-related benefits need to be applied for (forms filled in & bank details provided etc) before someone gets them:

https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-elderly-person-bus-pass
http://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/easy-read/free-licence-for-the-over-75s-ea16
And while it is true that once you are in receipt of the state pension you get the winter fuel allowance automatically - you first have apply for the state pension - and if you're not yet state pension age but above the age for winter fuel allowance then you also have to actively apply for it.0 -

Not patronising at all it comes from personal experience of forgetting things and filling in the form for my WFA.

On this board when people challenge you like that you go, find evidence and give them the link.
Some will apologise but most of the posters (mentioning no names) will run off saying they want their tea/a drink.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -
Asking someone to pay back a TV licence, £300 winter fuel allowance and bus passes. Eh? Whilst many who have not paid in get up to £26000 tax free, free cars, free council tax, free travel etc. MP's they remind me of that genesis video.. which says do as I say don't do as I do.0

If all benefits were taxable those that really needed them would receive the full benefit and others would have them reduced by an appropriate amount through the tax system ......... just a thought.
Yep. Council tax rebates, mobility cars, rents paid, family allowance, etc .. Tax the lot.0 -

Family allowance is now child benefit - and not available now to the higher-rate-taxpayer parent....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
