Beef defrosted outside for 24 hours!

Help!!!!!!

So yesterday I went off for my shift, and before I went I put my meat out to defrost (500g Diced beef) ....and then it ended up being a long shift, I came home about 11pm and crawled into bed.

This morning I woke up and saw it......is it still safe to use? Or do I need to chuck it?

I'm so cross with myself!

It will be fine, unless you are planning to eat it raw!

if it looks and smells ok I would use it

Depending where in the country you are it may not have been very warm yesterday, it wasnt here so would probably have only been defrosted for about 12 hours out of the fridge

If it is a funny colour of smells funny then bin it
  • It looks fine...it smells fine...I'm going to give it a go...especially as it will be cooked for 3 1/2 hours.

    Happy....It was cold here too!!!!!!

Blimey, it wouldn't have stood a chance outside here, the foxes would have had it away in a jiffy. :D

so long as it hasn't had rats, foxes or other vermin or cats on it then it'll be fine..

It would still be frozen if you were here!
