Quick Car Finance Question

bought a car on finance just over 2 weeks ago, however we`re really not happy with it,we`ve got a whole list of complaints and problems with it.The dealer gave us a 3 month warranty with it and all the problems should come under the warranty, but im not really happy getting them fixed,is there anyway i can get out of this agreement?I`m even prepared to scrap the agreement and purchase a different car off the same dealer,we just fell for £6000 we should have a car that we both feel comfortable with .

Check theTrading Standards website it has info where you stand re finance agreement. If there are faults then it may be that it is not "fit for purpose" - more info on the site.

Are these major faults or little annoyances? You have the warranty and should use it -why are you not keen to do so? Are you sure you haven't just "changed your mind".

As Fran says, if the car was not fit for purpose, then you may be able to get out of the finance agreement. Otherwise, you will need to settle the finance first and then sell the car.

You can return your car and get you r money back under the sale of goods act. This states that the car has to be fit for its purpose i contacted my local trading standards when i had aproblem with my new car, and they said that if the delears kick off tell them to get in touch with trading standards as i am within my rights. You can always take them to court as well.

Perhaps it would be worth paying RAC/AA or similar to do a check on it now to make sure they do all the things wrong with it?

When I used to work in the industry it was not unusual for a vehicle to be sold which had faults that would be covered under the warranty agreement. Once the vehicle was sold it would be returned by the customer for the work to be carried out at a cost to the warranty company........ Did I just say that!! :o
