... it may be for real!!
A friend and I planned a trip to the Creative Crafts show at the Bath & West showground. We bought our tickets in advance using the buy 1 get 1 free offer in the Western Gazette - very money-saving as the entrance cost would be £7.95 each without the offer. But then my friend had to cancel as she had a funeral to attend so I went on my own.
I decided I would just give the other ticket away to anyone in the queue waiting to buy one ('cos I'm nice like that!) but I had to repeat/explain myself three times before someone accepted a free ticket!
It went like this:
Me: would anyone like a free ticket? I have a spare because my friend couldn't come.
*the people in the queue just looked at me*
Me: I have a free ticket to give away because my friend couldn't come - would anyone like it?
*queue stared at me as if I were nuts*
Me: it's a free ticket from the buy 1 get 1 free offer in the Western Gazette - would anyone like to use it?
And at last a lady in the queue put her hand out to accept the ticket!
Honestly, sometimes a free ticket is just a free ticket - no scams in sight.
PS I bought £65 worth of knitting yarn and pattern book for £22 so it was well worth going!

That was a kind thing to do appolonia. I had a similar thing happen to me , wanted to give tickets away and you'd have thought I had two heads...
Mind you to be truthful if someone asked me to have something free I'd wonder what the catch wasChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0
