Just wanted to say welcome..I do not have the same amount of debt as you but debt is debt and quite a few people on here have that amount so don't worry too much...it's amazing the amount of money we all seem to be able to save when we put our minds to it...good luck0

Just interested, those with kids, do they know you are in debt?0

My kids do know, but have not always done so. They are now at the age where they can understand, and they have to know that there is a reason why we can't go to Florida, and can't just buy x y and z like their friends.
Although we try not to harp on about our debt at home, because we don't want the children to stress about it, after all it is not their fault, we do feel that they are learning valuable life skills from it - our children can budget, look for offers at the supermarket when they go on errands, and decide whether spending their pocket money as they get it, or saving for bigger items then shopping around to get the best deal is more fun!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi Whino
I just realised that I never replied to you.
I shared with my kids that we had had financial problems but as they are both under 10 it really was water of a ducks back. We have found that money means absolutely nothing to ours and a 50p gift off ebay can be just as valued as a £200 present from a rich relation. The problem is with ones feelings of leeting ones children down, even though it is patently nonsense.
Hope all continues to go well with you.
All the best
