PDCS and Southern Electric issues

Hi,
haven't posted here in a while so go easy on me.
Recently I have been experiencing some issues with past due credit solutions and Southern Electric.
I had a joint debt on the gas and electric and an old property where I lived with my now separated wife. As things go it wasn't a nice separation due to her adulterous untouchable nature and hence she refused to pay for any bills. The Debt originated from 2011 including two house moves. Southern electric were given the final meter readings when we moved out of this property and a payment plan was set in place. This was paid each month with no issues whatsoever. This is where the problems first started.
In December 2011 I separated from my wife. I advised southern electric of the separation and was told that she had put a new payment arrangement in place. Of course contacting her was near impossible so I had to take this for granted and presumed that this had all been sorted out.
I heard nothing more from southern electric who at this point had passed the account to Past Due credit solutions. The usual dca babble ensued and in October last Year I was kindly offered a settlement figure on half the balance from the account, in return my name would be removed from the account and would have no more issues from PDCS or SSE. I was then advised if I didn't make this payment and opted for a payment plan a full Income expenditure would be required from myself (not the ex) and if she or myself missed any payments then I could incur further charges and costs. Feeling a little railroaded into this situation, but with the promise of my name removed I managed to skint myself for the remainder of the month and pay off half the settlement figure, the other half would be offered to the ex in which case if she refused to pay she would be left with the full remainder of the bill.
Later that week I received another phone call from PDCS chasing me for the remainder of the bill. She had told them where to go and refused to pay anymore onto the account.
I explained to the telephone monkey what I had been advised and at this point was told no such policy to remove a name off the account existed and I was still jointly reliable for the remainder of the bill. Politely, I told the agent I wouldn't pay another penny.
Calls continued with myself reiterating the same. The calls became more frequent and then the letters started once again.
February this year I received an email from a Sarah banner martin from Scottish southern. A litigations manager, asking why I had not replied to letters from their solicitors. Apparently they had no forwarding address given, even though southern electric were given this ( also confirmed by SSE at a later date )and the mail was going to my old property. I now panicked as important documents were probably now being opened by the new tenants of this property.
It has taken numerous phone calls and over 40 emails to try and rectify this problem, but SSE did eventually agree to removing my name from the account.
In was promised an apology from PDCS which never came. This took further email, and eventually an operations manager emailed to tell me sorry and the agent who misadvised me had been dealt with. Not being greedy, but they have caused me great stress and worry, not to mention sending me court letters apparently after payment had been made.
Southern electrics answer ?
50.00 goodwill gesture... And they won't budge. What can I do ????

they are the ones that lost money, the power that was used. As they say people wonder why gas and elec is highDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
