Waiting on Call From OR

Last Thursday (18/4) I went bankrupt, when I left I was given my paper work and the details of my official receiver. I have yet to receive a phone call from them. As I am self employed I understand that I am not allowed to start trading again until I have spoken to them and they have given me a date which my accounts will start from and so I assume I can only start trading from this day. I've been able to do bits and pieces around the house and in the office until now but I really need to start doing some work, or I will start to fall behind financially again which is why I went bankrupt so I could start with a clean slate!

Any advise?

Thanks

Give your OR's office a call. They are extremely busy so they may take their time getting to you, so start the ball rolling.

I thought you could start trading again the next day as long as you started with new books and from afresh but this is not something have much experiance with.

Definitely give them a quick polite call. Especially as you have concerns you need to clear up.

As said, they are just probably very busy. However, I do recall a case sometime back where the paperwork/details went AWOL leaving the OR not having the case on their system. Very very very unlikely to happen, but never say never as the phrase goes.

Well I managed to speak to them on Friday, it seems that I was incorrectly informed that they would be calling me, but instead would be sending me a letter with all of the information & date for interview. The person I spoke to ended up being my case worker so it was good to have an introduction over the phone. It seems that the person who sends out all of the paper work has been ill for a few days and was running behind schedule. The envelope turned up yesterday with all of the information they require, fortunately I already have everything ready as I have been organizing this after researching this site. The next query I have is that they have arranged my interview for Monday the 6th of May, i'm sure that this is an oversight as I wouldn't have expected them to be working on a bank holiday?
