I'm so glad you've decided to go down the AAT route. I honestly think this will give you the best chance of succeeding.

Good luck in your studies :D

Thanks for coming back to update us, and I'm so glad you found our posts helpful. So rarely is there a 100% consensus, I really do think AAT is the right decision.

I didn't do AAT myself, but I suspect it's pass/fail, with employers interested in "first time passes" rather than percentages.

I wish you all the best in your studies, starting out at the right level with a bit of determination gives you the best chance. Accountancy exams can be painful, but the end result is worth it. Good luck!

Re your questions for AAT exams, they are pass or fail. Some are classroom & coursework based, most are sat under strict exam conditions.

    It's not a waste :-)

You will get a great grounding, TBH without a strong math &/or business educational background you would never have coped with ACCA. Plus if/when you do go on, you will have exemptions.

Yes, as MrsE said, you will get exemptions after AAT if you do decide to carry on with ACCA.
Also it will give you a chance to get back into process of studying, it is shock to the system when after years from school days you are suddenly required to be disciplined and spend 10-20 hrs a week studying... The brain doesn't take it in so fast or hold it in for too long.
    Good luck.
