What a lovely day, we've been in the garden nearly all day, lots of little jobs done, strawberry plants sorted, DD peas moved to a bigger space. How nice it is to have a day of sunshine to brighten and lift the spirits.
Hope everyone has had a lovely day.

For those gardens with Lillies, i found the dredded red garden beetle on one of my lillies today, :eek:never seen one before and ive been growing lillies for 9 years. It was bright red in colour, apparently according to the internet they dessimate lillies, eating there way through to eventually destroying the plant. They squeak when you touch them and lay bright orange oval shaped eggs on the underside of leaves. So important to check! Learn something new everyday. Hth

    Still catching up ttfn mt2m
Oooh nearly forgot my scholastic order came, present drawer looking healthy again. Thankyou OP:T
Funny (or not) you should say that but I found one today on my lilies for the first time ever. I thought they were confined to the south but they have clearly made their way to the North East now.
    Awaiting a new sig

Apparently they were confined to the South a few years ago, I'm in South Yorks and have never seen nor heard of them! Glad I checked them out, I love my Lillies:)

You have to kill them, which is a bit disgusting. Not the killing, but the mess.

I will post if and when I find something though, and have own car, can nip off at the drop of a hat to do a test shop:D:D

    Debt-free and Proud!
Evening all! Looking forward to seeing what I can find in Mr T's tomorrow. The list of things I'm looking for is now quite long!

Have told my Mum all about wombling and she's bemused but coming with me to hunt regardless :)

Hope you're all having fun around the virtual campfire. Thanks bunches for all of the recommendations and tips over the past few days.
