Yes I've enjoyed today, apart from falling asleep again:o. Need to get a weekend in the garden and revitalise all the things in pots.
I've had quite a few casualties wrt clay pots this winter so need to get some more so I'm off down to Ripon the morra to buy some proper frost proof terracotta pots.I hate it when clay/ terracotta plants crack. I have a very boring thing of loving watching the patina (sp?) growing on them
My OH seals them for me because it upsets me
this year I put them all inside.....no cracks

Evening all
Lovely to find a warm thread tonight. I drove home tuesday night, logged on and thought I was in the wrong place. So nice to see everyone here tonight.
Hugs for Fc, tinyshoes and of course 3 dogs hope the knee is easing a bit.
Decided I was missing out on the Nook so just ordered one to collect from sainsbobs. Not for me but planning ahead for fathers day. Dad is insistant one minute that he doesnt want an e reader and curious another. After reading that you can borrow library books I decided to order him one to try as at that price he can try it out cheaply. I have one of the original kindles as step dad upgraded when mum got the lighter weight one. Suits me fine as only use it when on holiday. Been reading about nooks capability to browse the internet so be great if I can work this out for him to.
Been cold here today near the white cliffs as sun didn't show up until 5pm. Hate to admit I needed heating on for a while. Forcast for weekend is looking good.
Have no plans for the long weekend but might take a trip up to ikea and get a cushion for the lovely wooden sunlounger I got very cheap from b and q at the end of last summer and have a look at wardrobes and beds for guest room.

You not keeping your front garden all neat Patty?
oh...I thought you did:o0 -
Trouble is most of the cheap clay pots are described as frost resistant which isn't the same as frost proof. The one's I'll buy are made by Naylors as a sideline to their long established clay drainage pipe business They're not cheap but worth it in the long run.
Buy cheap, buy twice and all that?
I got a HUGE pot from someone at work after I did her a few favours (about 4-5ft by 3ft) love it, and would be gutted if it broke, even if the palm I had in it, that I fleeced up does look rather brown after the winter“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
