    Whoopsie Queen :hello:

Glad to have met you tonight, mentioned to artha we are going to have to dress up a bit for whoopsie shopping as both TM and yourself have put us to shame :o :rotfl:

By the way talking to you meant I missed out on any cooked meat and I had to pay £3 for a meal deal for DW  off and on the same price as those joints ;)

Got a lovely image in my mind of you going back to get that little thing you forgot then slipping away to your car leaving all the other stuff at the till :D

Not too far from the truth actually.

No I was after a £2 GC having walked by and spotted the '2 for £3' on the milk. May as well have a couple I thought! Wasn't doing an APG shop - got those 6 pack free range eggs that compare more expensive elsewhere (having been unable to find the same-price filler eggs last night) - I could have lost my card or my voucher but instead of course I'd picked up the Cravendale thinking it was the other milk, the own brand 4pt milk at £1 each.

I added up with just the eggs. Then drove on to the nearest Aldi - and found 6 FR medium eggs for 95p!

Oh well, you win some... (etc.)

And I never went back for the own brand milk after all! Suddenly didn't want any milk!!:rotfl::rotfl:

In the next store (more wombles) later, could you believe it - no good store! - I succumbed and was going to 'test' the Arm and Hammer - would you believe it? - the store had every Arm and Hammer except the one that, if it had worked, would have worked best. I then spotted, next to it, a "new" Arm and Hammer, which I didn't recall seeing on MSM, with a price SEL of £3.00 (no m'buy offer) and all £3 and no offer on the rest of them too. Well, I thought... possible trigger!! Went to self-scan to check how the two different A&Hs scanned, one of which the new one, the other the next best A&H comparer, came at £3 each - no chance, put them back!

I then completed my shop, without the A&H. Bought two times Shower Shine Cleaner. And chuckled a little when I read the m'buy saving on the receipt: "Trigger - 2 for £1.50". Well, we can hope!:rotfl:

(Though, pedants will note, as well as other people, not actually a 'trigger' as such on this occasion! We hope it's a full pricing Shower shine vs T's m'buy. If not, though, 10% less than 75p for each isn't too bad. Not as good as 10% off £1.00 for the 1L versions several years ago, mind. So cost of shower shine - I've ran out - has increased to the extent of :eek::eek: in recent years - last load of them came from T's DTD price check that long ago, and were nearly free!)

Thanks everyone for keeping an eye on the m'buys while I've been out.

Womble from this afternoon (big, long receipt, they spent nearly £108:eek:), and... woooooooo... they saved £23.23 against Waities!!

    :(
The meat m'buy working in Sada's favour, as this bit from the middle of the comp. result shows:

    1 x ASDA Butcher's Selection Pork Loin Steaks (660g)£3.34N/A
    1 x ASDA Butcher's Selection Smoked Gammon Steaks (530...£3.33N/A
    1 x ASDA Lighter Red Leicester (300g)£2.00N/A
1 x ASDA Chosen by You Chicken Fried Rice (190g)£0.90N/A
1 x ASDA Smartprice Low Fat Yogurts (4x125g)£0.33N/A
    1 x ASDA Butcher's Selection Lean Beef Mince (675g)£3.33N/A

(Though Pork Loin Steaks are comparing vs T, more expensively, so if you can get a trigger and have full prices comparing, perhaps something can be made out of this - folks, I'll analyse the details of that receipt later, you know I will...:rotfl:)

Based on my earlier posts this week I've been trying to test the Butcher's Selection sirloin steak 2 for £7 A vT, but Mr A hasn't had them in stock wherever I've looked. Depending on which way they calculate the 10% weight difference, (227g v 250g) it could be of interest, as msm is showing BOGOF v Tesco as well as the multibuy. If anyone can find them to test, I'm happy to sub it with APGs.
    Hope is not a strategy.
