Has anyone had a response like this before from Asda HQ?

I put the details of a receipt into the APG site and every item came back marked N/A. I exchanged several emails with HQ before finally getting a specific response. This was to tell me that the banana (10p), carrot (7p) and mushroom (8p) I had bought were of too small a weight to be able to be compared.

Odd thing is, whilst the Tesco, Sainsbury and Waitrose comparisons were all marked N/A the APG did compare against Morrison's.

    Hello Andy.

    This is from a shop done today A v T :

    0.01 x ASDA Root Ginger by Weight (100g) £0.02 N/A

    0.03 x ASDA Carrots by Weight (100g) £0.02 £0.02

    0.01 x ASDA Mushrooms by Weight (100g) £0.02 £0.02

    0.03 x ASDA Red Onions by Weight (100g) £0.02 £0.02

    0.02 x ASDA Broccoli by Weight (100g) £0.04 £0.05

    0.01 x ASDA Thin Chillies by Weight (100g) £0.04 N/A

    0.03 x ASDA New Potatoes by Weight (100g) £0.04 £0.04
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

Thanks for this, defo will not be showing this to OH, will not let me have a dog if he was reading this, and also kept him away from here when Spirralling Down was showing the beasts mess of the door, it would definitely not be happening if he saw that.

    Pass.
I think they're now regarded as "part of a promotion that makes it difficult for MSM to compare".

Same with BOGOFs. Except that, if you buy two of the same item, it appears now to give N/A (A's resolving of the glitch vs W, T etc. of last September), but it appears that if you buy one of one and one of another, both equivalents at the competitor in their BOGOF, it compares them both and accounts for the BOGOF. (Obviously this last situation isn't too difficult for MSM to compare(!).)

I've no idea on 3 for 2s, perhaps 2 of one and 1 of the other (thus missing anything divisible by 3 at all - as divisible by 3 would appear to trigger N/A (buying 4 of one item would also appear to trigger N/A, as it includes three (plus one)).

All I know is my recent fresh pies/pasties mix and match returned N/A on all items vs T. But then I was trying to do several 3 for 2s in the same shop, and not just one. Maybe one 3 for 2 with 2 of one and 1 of the other would work???

[Edit: Or 1 each of three different varieties, all in the offer at T. But then you have the issue the Eco is a cheaper individual price than the other, so what would the APG do? Personally I'd pick 2 + 1 using the two £5.00 ones (looking at T individual prices). Otherwise your 'free' one is only £4.49 (less 10%???).)]

    But no substantive idea though.

(And I've not considered at all whether 27 rolls for £10 (or £9 with 10%) is good or otherwise.)

Yes it is. And that's just what the second paragraph of my post no. 3106 says. (In twice as many words as yours:(.)

Aau1 - many thanks, I knew you wouldn't be caught out, and that I wouldn't catch you out, as you are far better and more intuitive on your getting of deals than I am...:T:rotfl:

I use fewer words too ;)
