I haven't been for years (well since I was a child actually :)), but £50 seems a bit steep unless it has changed and there is some super duper attraction thing going on....from what I can remember it was a bit boring tbh, there wasn't a lot there...

Maybe Wookey Hole might be a bit more interesting for your 8yo?

I'm happy to be corrected by someone who's been there recently.

Not been to either for years but agree with you Mildred. Did Wookey Hole with 7yr, 5yr and 1yr old. Cheddar caves are a bit of a walk from where you park the car and from memory there is very steep steps you can climb up outside definitely not suitable with a 9 month old in tow.

Dave, the scampi is just comparing at the correct price I think.

    Think Lango actually paid £8.96:)

A very good evening to you all :) For tea tonight Mad is having a British Rail sandwich

I work with a bloke who used to work in the catering car on British Rail. He told me about an amazing scam they had going involving a suitcase, a long coat, and a teatowel.

    Dove pro-age 250ml is £2.25 in A and £1.14 in Mr T (£1.22 back on APG)
The above lynx are £2.37 in A vs £1 in T (£1.47 back on APG)

combined APG from these 2 is £2.69

So if you buy on an instore 2 for £3 offer and get £2.69 back the cost is 31p

Does anyone else want to check the rest?
Still tired look on it as practice ;)

I know I've neglected Avs T and Avs S on here, mainly because the full lists are impossibly long - and in theory the information is readily available on MSM - but I've still got the following which should compare well vs T:

(This is a work in progress, more is to be added soon!)

    Avs T 'top offers'

(Except of course the Nestle Milky Bars or at least equivalent chocolates have probably been avail. for 1p in T)

ASDA Chosen by You Ice Cream Roll (250g)£1.00 £1.00
Birds Eye 100% Cod Fillet Fish Fingers (10 per pack - 280g)£2.00 99p

ASDA Smartprice Yorkshire Puddings (15 per pack - 230g)49p 49p
ASDA Chosen by You Battered Chicken Dippers (28 per pack - 500g)£2.00 £1.11
ASDA Chosen by You Cooked Diced Chicken Breast (500g)£3.00 £2.00
    Nestle Shredded Wheat Honey Nut (500g)£2.28 £1.14 (until 30/4, i.e. 29/4)
    2xOXO Stock Cubes Vegetable/Chicken/Beef (12x6g)£1.07x2 Any 2 for £1.50 (until 30/4, i.e. 29/4)
Silver Spoon Icing Sugar (1kg)£1.88 £1.88 (as at 28/4)
ASDA Bananas by Weight 68p/kg 68p/kg
    Nestle Milkybar Block (100g)£1.00 80p
ASDA Baby New Potatoes with Herbs & Butter (360g)£1.00 39p
2xASDA Chosen by You Southern Fried Mini Chicken Fillets (300g)£6.00 £5.08333333...
ASDA Butcher's Selection Boneless Chicken Thigh Fillets (4 per pack - 515g)£3.58 £3.09*
Soft and Gentle Sensitive APD 150ml £1.00 20p
Soft and Gentle Body Responsive APD 150ml £1.00 20p
Oust All Purpose Descaler Superfast Action (3x25ml)£1.64 £1.00 (until 30/4)
    Surf Essential Oils Powder Lavender & Jasmine - 50 Washes (4Kg)£7.00 £5.25 (until 7/5)
Surf Essential Oils Powder Tropical Lily & Ylang Ylang - 50 Washes (4Kg)£7.00 £5.25 (until 7/5)
Golden Virginia Yellow Hand Rolling Tobacco (12.5g)£3.92 £2.51
    http://www.nhs.uk/tools/pages/stopsmoking.aspx
Kenco Decaffeinated Eco Refill (150g)£3.00 £3.00 (until 30/4)
    Carling Zest (12x330ml)£6.00 £6.00 (as at 27/4)
    Fosters (20x440ml)£14.00 £12.00 (as at 28/4)

    * But maybe better to get T version on T comp vs S! A's version is 515g, T 500g and S 460g. It's a bit complicated, so bear with me! Unfortunately, S is outside the 10% weight limit from the A version, so it shouldn't compare on APG. Therefore, the best on APG is vs T, with 10% off T's price (£3.00 each - £3.09 as adjusted for weight) rather than adjustment from 2 for £5.00 (S). However, S is within 10% weight of T's version, and T appear not to adjust prices for weight, so 2 in T, 500g, vs S 2 for £5.00. 500g x2 for £5.00 (compared to what you would get - 460g x2 - for £5.00 if buying in S). 500g x2 for £5.00 (T with price match to S) is better than 10% off T's price (no multibuy) on Avs T.
