Stick with it. Practice makes perfect and the sense of satisfaction is great

My wife made a fancy schmancy cake for DDs 1st birthday last year. Since then she's honed her skills making birthday cakes for famliy/friends every week

She's looking at setting up as a business for some extra cash :T

Bet it looks better than my chocolate cornflake cakes. Don't stress hun, the kids will love it. By the time mine have had their party and the party bags they don't seem to pay much attention to the cake xx
