Council tax banding wrong - reclaim - 12 weeks to look at!

One of my neighbours mentioned this to me and has successfully claimed 6 years backdated.
We've got the same house model as them but it seems she found out that larger model houses in the same street were in a lower council tax band than us. So she appealed and they've lowered her band and backdated for 6 years....
So, I've done the same. Spoke to the voa people and I think they're being awkward. Told me it'll take 12 weeks to respond!

Most VOA offices have had their staffing slashed so it is taking a while to get things done due to this.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -
