New tax allowace

Options
Hi

I've been paid for my April month today. When does the new tax allowance come into play? I would expect you get slightly more in my wage after tax?

This should be month 1 of the new tax year.
What tax code appears on your payslip, what are your gross and tax figurs and what were the details for last month's payslip?

    Hi
I'm on holiday at the moment so not seen my slip yet. Would you class this month as the first month or May?

Month 1 of the tax year runs from 6 April to 5 May inclusive. Any salary paid in that period should be classed as month 1 of 2013/2014.
