Help bankruptcy advice needed please

Hi. Hoping someone can help me here.
My husband and I have split up, and I've been left with massive debts. I'm not claiming benefits as my soon to be ex has allowed me to stay in the house that he owns, and he is giving me a small amount of money to feed and clothe our daughter. He is refusing to pay any of my loans or credit cards though , even though he sure as heck helped me spend the money. As far as I can tell, this is tuff bananas to me. They're in my name, so they're my problem.
My debts in just my name total more than 25k. We have no joint finances.
What I would like to know is can I go bankrupt. I literally have no money or assets to payoff these debts and paying £1 a week to each would take me something like 87 years. Also, the split was completely out of the blue for me, I didn't see this coming. He works away during the week, and boom!! He left me! Some of my debts are quite new....a 17k consolidation loan is only about 4 months old, a previously empty store card has a new balance of 1.5k is about 6 weeks, when he told me to treat myself to some new lounge furniture and he would sort it out. He earns good money so there was no reason not too. I've also had to resort to increasing credit card debt in the last few weeks just to put food in my belly. I'm hoping we can sort things out at some point, but in the meantime, I need to address the financial situation as its not gonna go away!
Also, when I applied for all this credit, I put housewife as my occupation, as I was a house wife, and annual income I out his wage. Reading up on bankruptcy, would this be seen as deceit??
This is all so confusing. Especially with the added stress of phone calls and letters already, and I've not skipped one loan payment so far! Any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks.

Hi and welcome. Sorry to hear of your circumstances. Your expenditure was in good faith so I wouldn't worry about the timing of it. Hopefully someone else will come along shortly to answer your other questions.
