Options
Hi everyone!

First post so im sorry if this has been asked or if its in the wrong section.

But ive signed up to Experian and Equifax to look at the credit scores as im thinking of buying a car.

Now my experian says its Good but my experian says its Very Bad? ive checked both sites for the details that they have and as far as i can tell they have the correct information!?

Can someone shed some light as to why this is please??

    & Both are completely meaningless..

Since neither one will actually use that score to make a lending decision on you.

All lenders have there own lending criteria - balancing 'scores' for your time at address, in job, credit history..

In addition to above not all lenders will report to both experian and equifax. What is bad with regards to the experian report ?

THey are the individual agency's opinions of your credit history based on the information that they hold - each of the agencies will hold different information, depending on who reports to them. Is there something on your Experian report that would lead to it being bad, such as defaults?

The credit scores are irrelevant to your chances of getting a loan (so even if they all said Good, you could still be turned down on other criteria the lender uses).
