Mobile phone question

Hey guys
Wondered if anyone had any experience of this. My mobile phone bill is included in my BR, it's a contract phone with O2. I'm moving to PAYG instead but just want to know if I will need to send my phone back to O2 as I was in a contract? I'll love to keep the phone as a PAYG handset, but completely get it if I have to send it back.

You'll probably have to get the 'handset' unlocked to be able to use it with a PAYG SIM card.2019 MFW No. 74 £13700/£30000 (45.66%)

Yep, looking through the agreement, you only have to return the phone if you change your mind about the contract in the first 30 days. Otherwise, it's yours to keep.0
