Paying off mortgage

Could someone help me. I am in the process of paying off my mortgage. I am trying to work out what I will pay and what I will get off the mortgage lender (Woolwich).

I have paid the outstanding loan today but it will not appear on mortgage account for three working days.

In my mortgage contract it says the mortgage exit fee is £195 but one of my recent statements says £275. I assume that the £195 is what I should pay?

Do I get some paperwork off the Woolwich to say I own the house or do I have to pay them £50 for it (deeds recover?). The house is registered with the land registry so the deeds probably do not exist (I bought the house two years ago).

So I assume that all I need to pay is £195.

Thanks

Martin

You will be required to pay the mortgage exit fee of £195 and the £50 deeds release fee.

It must be a good feeling having those deeds in your possession.

Thanks JoeK, It will be nice to be mortgage free at last. :j I have had a mortgage on the various houses I have lived in since 1989. Overpaying the mortgage was the best thing I did eventhough sometimes I thought I should spend the money on better cars etc. I wish the Mortgage Free Wannabe forum was around when I started.
