            1. Internet petitions do very little as it is next to impossible to validate the signatures - hence why very few organisations take them seriously as they are so easy to run off.
 2. Just because most people think it's a good cause, does not mean it is the right place to put this in.
This is a freebies board. If this one stays then I have quite a few petitions to put up:
 End all petitions petition.
 Jail Paris Hilton petition.
 More UK bank holidays petition
Free chocolate to over 18's petition
Also, on an unrelated note (although I was LOOKING for a smilie) this smilie is kinda obscene:

Frag's avatar is hilarious. Also, in response to Jonny555 - global warming is occurring naturally.0

 exactly, a joke.
lilmiss please don't be sorry for starting this thread. It's a legitimate website, home to a well know animal welfare society. For every person who sarcastically comments about saving seals, there are those of us who care about the welfare of the planet and the creatures that inhabit it.0

caring is one thing but do you personally, actively do something?

Realistically yes I do. I have direct debits set up for a number of charities and I also don't buy fur.
It's all about people doing/giving what they can. Noone is asking people to trek to Canada or anything, but if signing a petition or donating a few quid is too much to ask of people, then the world has no hope.0
