Getting a mortgage on a house with no kitchen
CPS
I was preparing to view a respossed house this weekend (to live in not BTL). The house appears in pretty good shape with fully fitted bathrooms in place. However, the previous owners have completely removed the kitchen - there is a designated kitchen area but nothing in it.
I have today been advised by a friend that it will be very hard to get a mortgage for this property in its current state.
Does anyone know if this is the case? If so, is this property only available to cash buyers?
Any information would be appreciated

It's possible you'd get a mortgage, with a condition that a workable kitchen is fitted before the advance is released.
So you'd have to arrange for the kitchen to be fitted before completion.Early retired - 18th December 2014

You will struggle but their are a couple of different options - you need to really get a mortgage advisor on board to help with this as im not sure its possible without one.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
