when i lived at home I got my credit report and it gave details of my parents creditors as well as my own, so I guess it might work the other way as well?

you need to get copies of your own credit files.
If there are references to your off spring on your credit file you can get them removed (assuming you dont have any financial links to them i.e. joint loans or bank accounts).

You can't get details of your offspring without their permission.

These days each person is treated as an entity unless you are financially linked to someone else.

Sharing an address no longer counts as being linked and you should not be affected by poor credit ratings of your children.
But get copies of all three of your credit files and see what they say.
