Advice on preparation

I have my court date next Wednesday
I would like any advice that you can offer on preparation. I have opened a coop account. I'm working on my SOA and I'm in the process of transferring direct debits. I will raise the fees by not paying my credit cards this month. Would you advise writing to the credit card companies making £1 payment to each or do you feel with such a small timescale that I should just cancel the direct debits and wait for them to be informed by the OR? I am not currently in arrears on any of my debts. Baring in mind that I will cancel the appointment if I feel that I haven't got everything in place that needs to be done. I have received advise from Stepchange and this is the solution that has been suggested.
Many thanks in advance...

Don't worry about informing your creditors, just cancel your direct debits.

Direct debits cancelled. Feel nervous already...0

If the creditors phone you, you don't need to tell them what your plans are regarding bankruptcy.

Hang in there buzby999 you'll get to next Wednesday. You may have to screen your incoming calls until then. The majority of people who went br on this forum had better experiences of court date than they expected. I remember being so tense and uptight on the day. Everyone who dealt with me in an official capacity on the day of br (& since) was professional, polite, curteous and kind. Wishing you all the best, try not to worry.2019 MFW No. 74 £13700/£30000 (45.66%)

Yep, try not to worry. I was in court last week and it was WAY less stressful than I thought it would be. Everyone was really polite and kind, and my OR seems to be really nice so far as well.
I'm now not afraid of answering the phone as well, that magic letter with my BR number on really helps put your mind at rest0 -
Thank you everyone. I'm hoping i start to feel less stressed after Wednesday. God luck with your OR v...0
