Debate House Prices

The price was too low. Why make it £1 when they could have recouped some of the scheme's costs by charging £1000. Charging £1 was only a pound away from putting it on Freecycle!
There was a similar scheme in Glasgow back in I think the 70s/early 80s. Derelict homes in an area called Blackhill were sold off to buyers( not landlords) at £1000 as empty shells needing renovation by their new owners. Before that, it was the kind of place even the SAS would demand an escort. :eek:
