Well, there's a section that could do with some attention from the Plain English Society.
What they're REALLY saying is that the taxable band is £32,010 wide, and the 'zero point' at which it starts is £9,440 ..... ???
They phrase it that way as the 9440 isn't the same number for everyone (company cars, previous tax paybacks, age etc etc). So if they said 20% on earning between 0-32010 that wouldn't hold true for a large amount of people.
The page is a little confusing, it could do with a little more clarification to stop this happening (partner made same mistake not too long ago)0
